Hungarian Digital Image Library "has opened its virtual gates"

The size of characters:  smaller | bigger

It has been started to work; that is to meet your requirements as much as possible.

The main objective of the Hungarian Digital Image Library is to provide access to well-known and less known images within and beyond the borders of Hungary.
The library funded by the Renaissance Program Office and the Hungarian Ministry of Education and Culture has an excellently selected collection, which comprises digital Hungarica documents descending from different collections, for instance codices, regional history pictures, postcards, posters and other digital images (like scanned manuscripts, for example).

It is worth mentioning that the representative selection includes 4000 old photographs from Budapest Collection of the Metropolitan Ervin Szabo Library.

The image library has been established for educational, cultural and scientific purposes.
The National Széchényi Library and 48 other Hungarian libraries have developed it in an efficient collaboration; according to the plans of the participants, the collection will be enlarged.

Congratulations.
