Dear Readers,

As a result of good relationship between the Metropolitan Ervin Szabo Library and the French Cultural Institute,
on June 23, 2009, with all solemnity,

several books bearing various relations to France were given to the Metropolitan Ervin Szabo Library

by ambassador René Roudaut.

Dr. Péter Fodor, the director general of the Metropolitan Ervin Szabo Library
and Dr. Gábor Demszky, chief burgomaster reviewed and appreciated the great example of co-operation
in which children literature of French language was donated to our library in 2002; professional conferences were held in previous years and now, in 2009, 162 books were given to the library.

The collection includes mainly non-fiction volumes such as travel books, albums, educatory packages, dictionaries; a French literary anthology of Hungarian poetry and valuable French series are also in the collection (Collection penser l'Europe; Culture française)
